Bouncing Around London Town.

Well hello there M’dears,

Hope that you have had a good weekend? How have I been? Well I think *this* facebook status sums it up

As Facebook is usually a place for other people to brag about their lives (you know who you are!) I thought i’d have a go… Me and Beave are eating chocolate fingers in our pulled out sofa bed in the living room and between naps, are drinking red wine and critiquing “four in a bed” b&b’s. I have NO intention of changing out of my pjs either…Don’t hate bitches, just appreciate We’re living the dream

We literally sat in the sofabed all day and played old Sega Maga Drive games. It was amazeballs. I am proud to admit I am a Sonic 2 master. It’s a skill I like to keep quiet and then when the time comes, impress everyone in the room with my skills like some 80’s teen movie. I throw my glasses off and pull my hair down and grab the controller to smash the level and the love object of the film ( who looks like the boy) is wooed by my sega prowess.

Sometimes I think too much.

Later in the week the beautiful Beave decided to entertain herself –

“What did I do last night ?” “well, my friends, I was laid out on the sofa bed we still haven’t put back up ( don’t judge, goodbyes are hard) happily watching tv when I heard what only could be described as “girlish tittering” coming from the next room. Upon investigating said tittering i find Beave smirking into her iphone screen as low and behold, she had once again “discovered” another ap and so spent rest of the night having my picture taken so she could put clip art on my face.” #livingthedream

*this* was the result of *that* status –

I rather like it.

Also, my mother and sister came to visit. This was most exiting and was full of good food and getting lost around London. Anyway, we survived the weekend and it is certainly another adventure for us to remember over wine soon. My Mother was extremely generous and brought me an amazing hat from topshop i’ve tried to find a image on Gogle and on the shops site , but I can’t find one so I will share a photo of it soon but my gwad, it is beautiful. Thanks Mumsy!  In other new I like art, so from time I like to read art articles, and this article is full of WIN –  ” Top 10 Cod Pieces in Art”

Young Knight (1510) by Vittore Carpaccio.

My only thought was “they missed out David Bowie from Labyrinth” from the end. Now that was an artistic crotch. I think I speak for every child of the 80’s when I say Jareth the Goblin King has a place in everyone’s hearts. I still leave my older sister alone in the supermarket in the hope he will appear and kidnap her. No luck yet.

As I am sharing images of 80’s love, opps!!How did this fabulous image of Cyndi Lauper appear here? I am such a fat handed twat. Apologies! but while you are here, why not take a gander?..-

Just a quick one today lovlies but I have so much to post in the next few days. Have a great weekend, and catch up soon, Mwah!

Love,love, BP <3

I Went to Burger and Lobster and ate lobster and here is where I discuss this event.

lovelies,

Having been born a no name slob with expensive tastes I am, when funds allow, a bit of a foodie. When funds don’t allow ( which is more often ) I take treats where ever I can get them, so when my boss ( hi boss, you look great today! ) took us for a team bonding session I was happy when it involved food.

I work in oxford circus, so there are some great little hidden gems about. We had wanted to come burger and lobster for a while but they don’t bookings, you just rock up and if there is a table, you’re off. So we performed some forward planning.

Not too much though as it’s reputation had preceded it and when we got there, a hoard of Chinese tourists were queuing outside. They were so cool, and I loved the hat’s they were wearing on the sunny day. We really do need to wear sunhats more in Britian, they really are cool. Anyway, hat envy aside we got seated, as it was bigger than expected and we went straight for the main course. Lobster.

I of course took the necessary precautions. The bib is in season anyway, so I was rather happy at the freebie. If you have ever met me you will understand. If you have ever met me when I have  been hungry, you will know this act was futile.I would spill something on me, at some point. IMG_7215 - Copy - Copy

After the last restaurant faux pas where I committed the blogger cardinal sin of not taking photographic proof of the event, I made sure to bully my co workers into taking lot’s of pictures of me eating for your enjoyment.

Fuck yeah, lobster! Yeah, in meh belly.

We had the main dish, lobster with a side salad and chips. It was amazing. It was such a shame I couldn’t fit any more into my stomach. We had to order more of the butter sauce, mainly due to the fact that it was that amazing and I wound have drank it from the serving jug.

kudos to my co workers who managed to take breaks between their feasting to take pictures of me shoveling lobster into my gob, and keeping to my good angles. cheers.

On hearing there was desert, I was most pleased.-

I somehow managed to find room and I ate my ice cream with the true ladylike grace they teach us girls from stoke- on- trent. I even had earl grey tea in a cup a saucer ( With milk, because I am a uncouth monster )

But lets all be honest, it was totally all about the lobster. And the butter sauce. I’d certainly go again. More info on the menu and prices etc here.

Differently one crossed off the list. Any recommendations for places for me to visit are most welcomed as, you know, it gives me an excuse to eat!

Laters BBz Xx

Manic Monday such a fun day!

Bonjour bbz,  how art thou?

Alas, I’ve had a few internet troubles as of late (boo, B.T, boo!) so apologies posts are few and far between, I do love you, I just don’t have opportunity to let you know! ( at least act disheartened by this fact until I leave the room, ok?)

Today is a sad day as it is the last time I see the boi for over 4 months. This is an odd feeling and one I may discuss at sometime but I don’t really have a need to now. You can imagine so we will leave it at that.

But in the time he has been gone I have, through various testing methods, discovered that I can get the internet on my balcony of my flat (don’t get excited, it’s nothing fancy but for London outside space is like gold dust. Trust me when I say me and Beave got lucky finding this little gem of a flat) I’ve have completely blitzed my room and feel like I could put up my own flat pack furniture which means only one thing. TIME TO MAKE A MESS DOING ART.

I don’t have a preferred medium so I’m more a jack of all trades rather than master of one but I like what I create and that is all that really matters,ja?! At present I have a pile of celebrity magazines that I am considering doing some carnage with. Having done a media and production degree I love analysing all forms media outlet, so every time I get a train ( which is becoming more and frequent of late!) I like to buy the magazine bumper packs, you know the ones that feature magazines like ok, closer and something more low end all in one happy bundle? It’s a nice cross section. So many differing agendas for talking at to people, it’s enlightening and not really hard to notice when you look.

Anyway, I digress, a collage is forming…I may share my results should I get over my “never finishing anythingitus”

Have a great Monday lovelies, adventure is calling this week!

Love, love BP xX
